Word of the Day: saturated (adj)

Definition: being full of moisture; thoroughly wet

1) His shirt was saturated with sweat.
2) The field is saturated and muddy.
3) You can’t get it any wetter.  It’s saturated.

Problem of the Day: Why don’t polar bears eat penguins?

Word of the Day: hastily (adv)

Definition: doing something in a quick way, often without thinking

1) He hastily finished his writing, making many mistakes.
2) They hastily ate the chocolate because they had to get to the dentist’s.
3) He tidied hastily and thus missed most of the rubbish on the floor.

Problem of the Day: How much dirt is in a hole 4 meters deep and 2 meters wide?

Discovery Time!

Today during discovery we finished off our activities from last week.  Some of us built bridges out of only popsicle sticks and rubber bands.  Others made a dance (there's a video of this below). A third group designed some houses for our land, while a fourth was working on a song for our country.  The last group made up a sport last week and were typing up the rules today.
